On the afternoon of June 28th, the prestigious award ceremony for the2023 “Tell China’s Story”- “Foreign Cultural Trade” Talent Selection Competition for International Students in China was grandly held at the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration. In attendance as the representative of ZUEL was Hu Ting, Director of the International Affairs Office. Under the joint guidance and organization of the School of International Education and the Law School, ZUEL undergraduate international student, Annaberdiyeva Akpamyk (Kang Li) from Turkmenistan, eagerly applied for the competition. After rigorous selections, the submitted work titled “In the Field of Hope” won the “Cultural Mutual Learning Excellence Award” and ZUEL was bestowed with “Outstanding Colleges and Universities Award”. During the ceremony, Kang Li, as an exemplary representative of international students, was cordially invited to join other award-winning student representatives in a harmonious rendition of the heartfelt melody, “I love you, China.”
The 2023 “Tell China’s Story”- “Foreign Cultural Trade” Talent Selection Competition for International Students in China is organized by the Center for International Cultural Communication, China International Communications Group, SINOLINGUA and Huayutime. It aims to implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, promote the high-quality development of foreign cultural trade, and facilitate the international dissemination of Chinese culture. Themed as “Telling China’s Story in the New Era”, the competition officially launched in January 2023 and lasted for five months. It attracted nearly 8,000 participants from nearly 100 countries and more than 400 colleges and universities. After multiple rounds of evaluation, 47 participants were awarded the “Cultural Mutual Learning and Friendship Award”, 22 received the “Cultural Communication Vitality Award”, 19 claimed the “Cultural Promotion Contribution Award”, 3 won the “Cultural Promotion Excellence Award”, and 50 institutions were awarded the “Outstanding Colleges and Universities Award”, along with 42 teachers bagging “Outstanding Guidance Teacher Award”.
The School of Law has always attached great importance to international education and management. It have attracted numerous students from countries along the Belt and Road to study in ZUEL, on basis of “Chinese Government Scholarship for Intellectual Property”, “Chinese Law” and other featured study in China programs sponsored by the China Scholarship Council, the Ministry of Education and China National Intellectual Property Administration. More law students are encouraged to have their voices heard on the world stage to tell the true China’s story in the new era.
