3月18日，我院举办的“全球治理与国际组织法治青年人才培养计划”第一期活动在掌声中圆满结束。至此，历时一月有余的“Comparative Private International Law: Current Issues”全英文系列讲坐落下帷幕。
加拿大蒙特利尔大学的Gerald Goldstein教授详细讲述了比较法视角下国际私法问题以及冲突规范的适用前沿内，剖析了其在国际私法学领域的多元研究视角。内容涵盖国际私法的基本原则、冲突规范的主要适用方式以及域外裁判的承认与执行等。本期国际化系列讲座旨在为同学们对国际法律冲突的认识和思考提供新视角和新思路。
本期全英文系列讲座受到学生们的高度评价。根据学生反馈，全英文系列讲座能够有效帮助他们开拓学业思路，拓展国际视野，提升外语能力。通过学习，学生深化了对国际私法相关内容的了解，也让更多同学有机会不出校园感受到国际化的课堂氛围和学习体验。正如一名学生在活动总结发言中所说：“我第一次在课程学习中感受到了比较法研究的魅力。”

As a student who had no prior exposure to private international law, I was amazed by Prof. Goldstein’s passion and enthusiasm for the subject. Prof. Goldstein’s profound knowledge and experience in the field were evident in every lecture, and his insightful discussions and engaging case studies have truly inspired me to delve deeper into this fascinating area of law. In China, undergraduate law classes often lack the comparative methodologies and practical case studies that Prof. Goldstein have provided us with. Thus, I feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in this project, and hope I can apply the learning methods I have acquired to my future study.

It inspires and encourages me each time seeing how attentively and carefully Prof. Goldstein explain an issue or answer a question, making sure that we understand.
What I absorbed the most from this class is probably a comparative view. Never have I ever in my former learning process got a chance to see different legislations laid on the table all at once. The correlations and references behind them get prominently clearer. Also we know immediately better as to at what position the Chinese domestic law is and where we can go in order to make improvements.

First of all, this was my first time teaching in English, and I was a little nervous, but Prof. Goldstein amiable voice and careful and meticulous teaching style dispelled my fears.
Secondly, although I have not been exposed to private international law before, during this time, through your explanation, I have developed a strong interest in private international law, which is why I actively participate in the school's international moot court organization.
